What is SOAR ProTraining?

SOAR ProTraining is the name we give to all New Earth Village workshops, courses, seminars and support activities. The objective of SOAR ProTraining is to provide you with step by step guidance as you create a Life-Centred Learning Community - a place where people are valued, given voice and free to be all they can be - free to SOAR.

When people are free to SOAR, energy and imagination is unleashed that when harnessed, rapidly promotes personal and community development.

What does SOAR mean?

SOAR is our term for the New Earth Village approach to transformational community development. It stands for...

       SELF-ORGANIZED ABORIGINAL RENEWAL

Self-organized:

Refers to our belief that people who are valued and nurtured will take the initiative to develop their personal lives and their community

Aboriginal:

Refers to the positive, strengths-based approach to development that we've designed specifically for aboriginal peoples. SOAR promotes traditional ways of being.  And SOAR rejects the highly analytical, mechanistic ways of organizing associated with European cultures. Instead, it favours a more humanistic, whole-person, whole-community approach in keeping with indigenous traditions.

Renewal:

Refers to our belief that lasting, meaningful, personal and community change must be deeply rooted. It must be change to a new way of thinking and acting. It must be change from the inside out.

SOAR  ProTraining is under construction

SOAR training materials are being developed. We expect the first courses to be available in 2011. We'll let you know in Torch, our Newsletter, as each course comes on line. Be sure to subscribe.
