Things to know
Email address required
In order to join New Earth Village you must have your own email address (work or personal).
If you do not have your own computer or email address, talk to your administrator about providing you with an email address and computer access. If that is not possible, you can still participate in group SOAR ProTraining events and in your community's change effort.
If you want to be anonymous
To join New Earth Village you will be asked to create a username and password. Together, they are known as your 'login.' They identify who you are and allow you to participate in New Earth Village activities.
You can use your real name or any other word as your username. If you use a word that does not identify you, and if you do not identify yourself, your email address or your location in your personal profile, you can contribute to forums (Talking Circles) anonymously.
Why would you want to be anonymous? It frees you to speak your mind about issues in your community or organization without fear of reprisals. Let's face it, it happens. And if you're free to speak your mind about the things that are troubling you, you're more likely to get the answers you need. Sometimes all we really need is the chance to vent.
On the other hand, it's interesting to the membership to know who you are, where you're from, what challenges you face and what life is like for you. The choice is yours.
If you personally want SOAR ProTraining
If you want courses for yourself that you are personally paying for, create a personal membership (create your own username and password)
If your community wants SOAR ProTraining
If your community wishes to subscribe to SOAR ProTraining, you must have a community membership. The community 'login' (username and password) you create is then used by your facilitators to access SOAR Training courses.
Community memberships are the same as personal memberships with one difference. The community membership's username must start with 'com_' (example: com_soarfirstnation) Why?
Community membership logins may only be used to access SOAR ProTraining. They must not be used to log into Four Realms activities anonymously. To ensure all participants are accountable for their online actions, they must be personally identifiable by us.
The New Earth Village Member Agreement
Please read the following agreement carefully. If you agree to its terms, click on the link ‘Join Now’ at the bottom of the page. And congratulations. We welcome you to New Earth Village.
If you do not agree to its terms, you will not be a member of New Earth Village and you cannot participate in New Earth Village activities or use New Earth Village resources. You may, of course, continue to explore New Earth Village as a guest.
By joining New Earth Village you agree to the following terms of service:
I am sixteen years of age or older
I am sixteen years of age or older. If I am under 18 years of age, I have my parents permission to join and be an active member of this website.
I agree to act honourably
As a New Earth Village member I agree to interact on this site in a manner which is respectful and helpful to others and which brings honour to my people.
I am wholly responsible for my actions
I understand that any advice, information and/or assistance of any kind that I receive from New Earth Village staff or members, either through the New Earth Village website or otherwise, in any form, including but not limited to printed material, digital material, telephone and internet communications, website-based messages, downloads and/or streaming audio and video are used wholly at my own risk and that Peter Bruce, New Earth Village and New Earth Village Consulting Group (dba New Earth Group) and their agents are not liable in any way whatsoever for any consequences of such advice, information and/or assistance.
I can be barred from the site
I understand that should I behave in a manner that is not appropriate (as determined by New Earth Group staff), I may be barred from the site without notice or compensation of any kind.
