SOAR Guide (free)
Guide is a peer-to-peer support service. An individual who has been through SOAR First Light or SOAR Advantage and who expresses interest in helping others is trained to be a Guide. Guides hold weekly teleconference sessions with First Light and Advantage participants. They promote conversations among participants, answer questions and provide ongoing guidance. Each Guide is assigned four to eight communities with whom she stays in touch weekly with Skype teleconference calls (free). Clients in her group can also email or phone her privately. Guide is free to SOAR ProClub members.
SOAR Moderator
Moderator trains volunteers to manage forums. Moderators monitor forum discussions to ensure they stay on topic, move irrelevant threads to the right forum and ensure discussions are appropriate and respectful. Moderators might also raise questions, seek clarification or elaboration, ask 'what if' questions and generally facilitate discussion and ideas. Each year, New Earth Group makes a point of publicly recognizing the invaluable contribution of our Moderators.
SOAR Remote
Remote provides courses by DVD to isolated communities with no internet connection. Only unconnected communities qualify. Each DVD set covers four months (one semester) of training materials. The price of the DVD set matches the price of the materials available by monthly subscription. Remote communities can also join live teleconferences using a standard telephone.
SOAR Bursary
A limited number of bursaries are available for communities that cannot afford the full fee. A bursary covers half the normal fee. Applicants can apply by calling Peter at New Earth Group.
