What is The Four Realms?

The Four Realms is a part of the New Earth Village website that functions like a separate website. It is a learning management system - a collection of functions and webpages that promote learning. We call The Four Realms New Earth Village's 'action central' because that's where all member activities and New Earth Village resources including training can be found. 

Webpages in The Four Realms have a distinctive design which help remind you that you're in 'action central.'

How is The Four Realms organized?

The Four Realms has four realms or areas. Each area holds a cluster of activities or resources that share a common theme:

• Connector: social activities
• Explorer: development activities
• Advisor: advice and resources
• Creator: training
  

What happens in The Four Realms?

The Four Realms has four kinds of activities:

• Talking circles: forums for online 'conversations'
• Knowledge pots: places to put in and withdraw information
• Wikis: places for groups to work together
• Training courses

In other words, The Four Realms allows people from numerous communities to make new connections, share ideas and experiences, work together to develop initiatives and get training and support - all vital elements of a successful community development effort.
